I have decided to give the US Open a shot.  The last couple of weeks, I started practicing on almost a daily basis, especially trying to work on my spare game.  I am going in with a very open mind, and a postive attitude.  If I can make the casher's round, I will be happy, and I will finally get to join the PBA.  If not, I know I gave it a try--which makes me better than the house hacks that didn't.  And to those house hacks, talk is cheap.  At least I'm bowling the event!

I want to take the time to wish everyone a very happy and healthy holiday season.  Whether you celebrate Hannukkah, Christmas, or Kwanzaa, celebrate heartily and in good health.  Take the time to help out someone who may less fortunate.  Never forget the true meaning of whatever holiday you celebrate.  May you find peace in God--whatever you conceive Him to be.    And may 2007 bring a lot of 300's, 800's, tournament wins,  and a great deal of enjoyment of the greatest sport on earth--BOWLING!

I bowl in the only center in the NYC Metro area that still has a REAL scoring system--PENCIL AND PAPER!!! Van Nest Lanes in the Bronx also still has the original Brunswick masking units with the crowns on them. Does anyone else bowl where scorekeeping is still done by hand?
